Join us for the World's Foremost Poetry Open Mic Experience
The Village Poetry Open Mic occurs every first Thursday of the month at 8pm (with rare exception! Please check our Events Calendar for up to date info).
Prior sign up is not available. Arrive early to add your name to the list of performers. Performance and attendance are free. The first 10 poets to sign up will get 5 minutes to perform on stage.
Open Mics in general, and ours in particular, are communal experiences! It's the perfect place to share your work with an enthusiastic and kind crowd. In our time we've had seasoned veterans, first-timers, and everyone in between. All are welcome and encouraged to join.
It's not a show without an audience! Even if you don't plan to get on stage, we'd love you to come join us. Support the arts and your community. It's your show too! Enthusiastic and considerate feedback is welcome and encouraged.
